Here we are, it’s the first day of winter! Do you have some winter plans, some things you want to get done, or places you want to go in this season? A day of cooking
Posted on December 20, 2022
I started my day off making orange cranberry bread, washed and prepped my fruit for Christmas Day, made chicken noodle soup, and finished with lime coconut chicken and coconut rice. While I didn’t take a picture of my whole day, I will show you what pictures I did take.

Hit me up if you want any of these recipes, all from Pinterest! Tomorrow is cleaning mode, Thursday is dog washing, then time to relax and enjoy the Christmas holiday! Are you ready, or do you have a final push of things to accomplish before festivities? Drop me a line and let me know!

I have not been able to do yoga for months. MONTHS. While you don’t quite realize how bad a shape you are in before an exercise program, you sure as hell know how bad you can get when you aren’t doing one. I have tried to do yoga a few times the last few months, to no avail, all because of the vertigo, but in the last week my body has been screaming at me to do something to help my tight muscles and rigid joints. So, this weekend, I made a plan, and started today.
This is the video I did. I really like how slow Brittney goes, her voice isn’t annoying, and it is a good place for me to start this first week back. While I did get dizzy 3 times, the first two were easy to navigate, and the third was at the end. I consider this a major win!!! I plan on doing a flow Monday, Wednesday & Friday, adding yin 2 other days in the week. Or at least something like that. I may need to adjust based on my vertigo limitations, but I am just so overjoyed with relief, happiness and an easiness in my body that was missing.
I’ll keep you posted on how it goes! Tell me, what are you not doing for your lungs/muscles/body that you could or should be? And can you meet yourself in that to feel better(best) in 2023? Drop me a line and let me know!
Elvis was in the building!
Posted on December 18, 2022
Last night, at our beautiful Majestic Theatre, we saw Kavan perform 4 Shades of Elvis. To say that I saw Elvis in real time, is not an understatement. While I was taken to a different era, or two, the ladies in the audience were definitely transported back to a different time, their younger years, and they were living a dream through the mighty talented, and fun, Kavan with the accompaniment of some super talented vocalists and musicians.
This video is a snippet of the show, not the most exciting part, and not the most awesome part, because holy leather! Kavan has such high energy, such amazing vocals, and moves, moves, moves! I would highly recommend seeing his show, take a fan, and maybe a lady that loves Elvis, you won’t regret it! A great night of entertainment at my favorite local theatre, with my favorite people!

An early morning jaunt

Have you ever heard of Crumbl cookies? Have you ever had one? Well Brooke and Avery introduced me to them last year, and the first cookie I ever had from there was a Brownie Sundae cookie. Don’t you know it was delicious and they have never had it back around here since. Until this week. It was the mystery cookie at the Dublin store this week, so we made plans to go grab some cookies today.

We left at 7:30 this morning, Bill, Brooke and I, and we arrived at our destination a little over an hour later. It was a really nice ride up to Dublin, having good conversations, talking on all manners of topics. Traffic was light and there were snow flurries that just added to ambiance of the season, and our cozy car ride up.

Bill isn’t a Crumbl connoisseur like the rest of us, however he is a Jolly Pirate donut super fan, so off to Grove City we went after our first stop. While I didn’t feel compelled to take photos of Bill’s donuts, I did make him pull over for me to take some shots of the square in downtown Grove City. I love the charm of Grove City, and absolutely love their decorations for Christmas. Let me show you a few!

Grove City’s displays are so beautiful and I would suggest driving through if you are heading to, or back from Columbus. There is a theme, The Nutcracker, and red is their dominant color. While I did not capture all of the cute nutcrackers in the area, I will show you the ones I really enjoyed!

You see what I am saying! While I didn’t get a head on shot of their square’s Christmas tree, I did want to capture it to share with you all. It truly is one of the most beautiful town trees I have seen, embodying a traditional Christmas theme.

I really am glad the traffic was light as we were passing through, because when I yelled “Pull over please!!”, Bill could easily maneuver a right hand turn for me to jump out and quickly snap these shots. I wish I had taken street shots of the red bowed wreaths on the street lights, it was just a magical scene, and one I would love to see next week when it is supposed to snow harder.
While I love my own town’s efforts and holiday beautifications, I also appreciate other towns and their unique flavor of Christmas displays. Tell me, is there a town that you feel embodies the holiday spirit very well, or a town you appreciate for their beautiful efforts? Drop me a line, I would love to know so I can go visit, or so I can look it up and peruse online!
Christmas Lights
Posted on December 16, 2022
Bill and I spent this evening going to Hobby Lobby, picked up some outdoor replacement lights that decided to die this year, a couple fun gifts for our girls, and earmarked an item I would like to go back and get when it is dirt cheap. We then had dinner at IHOP, and I drove Bill around for 2 hours looking at Christmas lights in town. It was a really nice relaxing evening, and so many great displays of holiday illumination! We have some fun events to look forward to this weekend, what about you, do you have plans? Drop me a line and let me know!

Random photo

Do you ever see something that just feels so pleasing to the eye, that you have to take a picture of it? I usually only get this feeling at hotels, or around fields, but I forgot unlike parking lot scenery too. I took this as I was standing at the Elks, waiting on the Rudolph Run to start.
Tell me, do you find yourself taking random photos of things or places that just strike you as beautiful, or at least pleasant to the eye? Drop me a line, let me know, and if you feel inclined, drop your photo in the comments for all of us to enjoy!
On a day like today…

On a day like today, we all need some inspiration for the next coming year, when it is warmer.

Do you have, or have you ever thought of putting in garden art? I have always considered it, and after visiting the Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham NC this past summer, I am more certain it will happen. I may have to scale down, by quite a lot, but that will just make my garden art even more of an accomplishable effort. Now, to decide on a design and to start gathering my supplies!
Tell me, do you have garden art, or would you consider putting some in your garden, yard, or property? I would love some more inspiration, or to be inspired with you!
Did I mention…
Posted on December 13, 2022
Did I mention to you that sometimes I like to do edits on a photo that take me somewhere different, to a different time, from a different thought process? I do, typically I keep those to myself, but today I will share with you one I did of Brooke. Brooke loves the 80s and 90s eras and this put me in mind of of combination of those times. I love it, think it is fun, and believe I will make her a poster of this image with some text too. When I get around to that, I will share it, maybe for her birthday in February.
