2 Years and some change

Well, hello and long time no see! Let’s catch up!! How about we start where I mostly left off-business development.

I’ve been a bit busy for a couple of years. If you have been here with me for that long or longer, then you know what I have been in to. Those of you that have no idea what I am speaking of, I started taking my photography business to a different place, a different level and I have completely dedicated myself to E.robinsonphotos. It’s been an experience, to say the least!

I have learned SO MUCH in the last couple of years, and have made adjustments as I have gone. The biggest take away for me has been to look at what does or doesn’t work, what does or doesn’t fit. I realized that what didn’t fit, meant I needed to shift my perspective in a larger way than not, of course. Instead of tweaks here and there this year as I continue to learn and grow, I went all the way in and rebranded. Addition isn’t always the way, subtraction is typically the better answer, for me anyhow.

I have several sayings but two that have been the most reliable during my life, and this time has been:

Alignment is Key.

Be True to You.

I first started Be True to You when I was in high school, during a conversation with my grandma. The older I get, the more that shows me exactly what it means, and that it is ever evolving. That one sentence has served me so well that in my rebrand, I am changing it a bit to serve as a reminder to our seniors “Stay True to You.” Don’t just BE True, Stay True.

“Alignment is Key” started in my massage therapy days, because truly, alignment in all of our systems is key to a better life, better way of living, better in pretty much every aspect of our existence. When my favorite yoga instructor Maria said it one day, I was SO in alignment that nothing could be truer, except the truth.

These two sentences drive so much of my life, my business, my mindset. Truth is the biggest thing that drives the sentences, which are more so ways of life for me. If it isn’t true, it doesn’t fit, it isn’t in alignment, and it won’t help me stay true to me.

Business hasn’t provided the only changes, life has changed majorly. Avery moved out of state and lives in Texas. That was a big adjustment. A super proud moment and complete faith in her moment too. I pray daily for her, but also trust her capability of leading her own life. If you know Avery, I am sure you are most likely agreeing with me, she is a go getter! You get it girl!

Brooke graduated from college early, she has been working for the same marketing firm since her internship with them, and she also left the nest and lives west of us, around Dayton. Brooke is doing very well, she is so self motivated, cares about serving her clients to the best of her ability, and we are proud of her as well. Although we do miss her, we get to see her a bit more often which helps soften the empty nest blow.

You are caught up on my life in the broadest way, so now that we have reacquainted, or are newly acquainted, let me tell you a bit about what you will see here. There will be life happenings, things that have taught me lessons-old and new, ideas that I might have and want to share, and things that life shows me that I want to show you via images. In general, it’s me inviting you in to my life and the biggest part? You’re invited to find the beauty in life along with me.
